Flexible and Engaging Workshops & Processes
As we work with individuals and organisations, our objective is to be flexible and to ensure that our approach, and material, is relevant to their needs. Each process can be fully customised to individual needs. Even more importantly, we are always excited to journey where no one else has been before, and to build new paths...
Purpose-Driven-Teams – ‘A vehicle for transforming workplace cultures and taking organizations to new levels of performance’ (corporate only)
As John Maxwell says; “What’s your dream, and who’s on your team?” You can’t journey alone, but it is also important that the people you journey with have lives that are fully aligned with your collective destination. Each person has a unique outcome that they are working towards within the context of the bigger vision, but you are all journeying towards a bigger whole.
Our workshops equip people with the skills and insights to transform their effectiveness back in the workplace. However, in the absence of a supportive culture this is of limited value.
This is a collaborative approach - working with our clients to transform the culture and long-term effectiveness of their business. We know that our workshops provide the ‘means’ for organisations to change, but in the absence of a ‘vehicle’ it probably won’t happen. Purpose-Driven-Teams are the vehicles through which sustainable, and positive, change can happen.
Living and Leading in your own way – ‘Know your talents and how to use them to live a balanced and meaningful life’ (corporate and open)
A very practical workshop that
takes a simple look at leadership and its role
in inspiring people and teams. Strong on insights and skills, this 6-day process
(2 days every two weeks) will bring you face-to-face with your full potential - your
talents and strengths - and what you need to do in order to realize them.
In most ways we are all ordinary people caught up in the chronic patterns of life. However each one of us, in some way, is extra-ordinary. This is the truth. We all know it and we can feel the tug deep inside of us to live meaningful lives. And yet, for all sorts of reasons, most of us deny our truth. We live lives of habit. It’s nobody’s fault. We are slaves to what we have always done.
Our subconscious habits have got us to where we are, but we now need to engage with new and inspiring patterns of behaviour if we are going to embark on this journey and, what’s more, expect our friends, families, and teams, to come with us. The process addresses the five ‘secret’ ingredients to living and leading in your own way:
1. My life has focus and meaning
2. I am living my life in my own way
3. I am leading in context
4. My life is simple and balanced
5. I am leaving a legacy
Ideally, this process is followed up by on-the-job observation and feedback.
Figurin’ Life – ‘Living beyond belief’ (corporate and open)
If you feel
as if you are dreaming of one life, whilst living another, then
this process is for you. It’s a 3-day workshop that has the potential to get you
looking at your life differently, and to excite you with the potential that exists
for you to celebrate your personal ID (your ‘Irresistible Difference’).
Primarily it’s about exploding your limiting beliefs and equipping you with the skills to live your new-found freedom.
Key to this process is the preparedness to ask yourself challenging and self-liberating questions, such as: Why am I always preparing to live? What is my life really all about? How can I make the switch from dreaming, to doing? What skills do I need in order to bring my dreams to life?
Communicating For Success – ‘Always communicating for a better tomorrow’ (corporate and open)
A 3-day workshop focused
on a different, and more effective, approach to verbal
communication. It’s a skills-based approach to learning how to communicate with
optimal assertiveness, with video-feedback the key to accelerated growth. However,
the first part of the process does focus on self-belief, for without this we are
more concerned about what others think about us, and defending ourselves, than we
are about communicating effectively.
Mostly, we are all perfectly good communicators when we are not under pressure (feeling shy, embarrassed, angry, defensive, humiliated... and so on). Pressure, and a lack of self-belief, tends to push us into spaces where we become ‘automatically stupid’ - letting ourselves, and others, down. This process will expose your blind spots so that you can develop the self-control to respond, instead of reacting, when you are under pressure.
The Science of Client Sales and Service; it’s an art – ‘Transform your approach and multiply your effectiveness’ (corporate and open)
A 3 day workshop t
hat will have you believing in yourself and excited about
your capacity to sell. Primarily focused on skills, it will also inspire you through
the personal insights that will flow.
‘Without the science we couldn’t start, and without the art we couldn’t dance. They complement each other so beautifully. I think we must conclude that to be the best sales and client-service people in the world, we need to be both scientists (transactional) and artists (transformational). The structure is a science which can be learned, whilst the process – the art part, which is the actual journey of the sale and its associated service – is a more intuitive dance that can be developed through awareness, skill, intuition, feedback and experience.’
A combination approach is what is needed. Our intent is, firstly, to expose you to our structured scientific approach. This is the transactional part, and is the equivalent of learning the notes on the piano. Secondly, it’s about supporting and guiding you through a very experiential process that will develop your skills and intuition around the art of playing great music, in context, with what you have learned. This is the more exciting transformational ingredient of selling and serving. Once you have this mix, and provided you are continuously striving to take it to new levels, in your own way, then you will develop the attributes of the best sales and client-service people in the world.
The ABCs of Facilitating for Effective Outcomes – ‘Using the science of logic and the art of intuition to facilitate in context’ (corporate and open)
A process that
will equip you with the basic skills and insights necessary for
accessing the exciting and growth-filled world of facilitation.
It’s as if you need to ‘become the best facilitator in the world, so that you can be the best facilitator in the world’. Once you have mastered all the skills, and become the best facilitator in the world, then you can be the best facilitator in the world – engaging your group masterfully and completely without focusing on what you are doing as, by then, it is mostly intuitive.
You see, if you are out there facilitating, but still trying to ‘learn your lines’ at the same time, then it is difficult for you to focus on what you are meant to be doing, which is facilitating. You are too busy thinking about how to facilitate, which means that you are not actually facilitating from an intuitive space. You are still, at this point, guided by logic and conscious thought. The great facilitators, like the great fighter-pilots, sports-people, musicians and artists, get beyond this, into a space where their intuition guides them unerringly – with logic available when they need it. ‘Let intuition be your guide, with logic at your side’.
Facilitation is needed as soon as we are engaging with two or more people with the stated intent of achieving an outcome. A meeting without a facilitator is simply a garrulous social get-together that is going nowhere, and which can quickly become an ugly mess. As soon as order, or an outcome, is needed, facilitation skills come to the fore, in a myriad of different contexts.
The circumstances might be different, but the skills are universal. Learn the skills and you can probably facilitate (‘lead’) under virtually any circumstances.
Coaching and Supporting – ‘Inspiring people to become all that they can be’ (corporate and open)
A workshop that
will provide you with the skills and know-how for taking people
to the very edge of their potential. Unlike traditional coaching, this process uses
people’s talents and strengths, aligned with their chosen career path, for taking
them to the next level.
Proactive supporting refers to largely informal efforts by a leader to support people through their personal challenges, when they sense that team-members are in a difficult place, or as soon as their work performance begins to decline. Providing a supportive climate, and motivating them to get themselves back on track, will allow you to resume your efforts at coaching them towards success.
Theoretically speaking, your sincere efforts to coach people who are willing, is a powerful inspiration towards excellence. Supporting able, but personally struggling team-members, in a positive mind-set of genuine caring and support, should prevent you ever needing to go the disciplinary route.
Coaching and authentic proactive supporting (i.e. you really care), creates a positive environment of expectation and support, which will likely be reciprocated by people’s efforts at delivery.
